Twenty-five years ago we were two broke kids living in Hawaii. We moved there dating and left engaged. For our 25th anniversary we came back to our favorite island, Kauai, to rest. Instead we filmed yoga in eight locations and rode 14 miles on the e-bikes.

We stayed at Koloa Landing Resort in Poipu, home of a pool voted the best in America (says the sign). We flew doors-off over the Na Pali Coast with Ali'i Air Tours. Then we hiked the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail from Shipwreck Beach and had it to ourselves, apart from one sea turtle in the waves. That walk became one yoga class filmed in seven spots.

Matt finally found the short ribs at The Eating House he'd been chasing since Roy's on Maui 30 years ago. Our anniversary dinner at The Beach House was at 4:45, the only time available.

In Honolulu, Erin's iced coffee lasted about 13 seconds. A long, hot walk around Diamond Head ended at The Hula Grill, full circle for two people who once waited tables at the one in Ka'anapali.

Come for the helicopter. Stay for the 4:45 reservation.

We'd never done a repositioning cruise. The cruise lines move their ships when the seasons change, which makes these trips more economical. After a day on rental bikes in Vancouver (we love it there), we hauled our luggage to the harbor and boarded the Celebrity Solstice bound for Hawaii.

First impression: it's cold. The ship is air conditioned like a meat locker, and our hallway was the coldest spot of all, so we ate in our warm cabin to thaw out. Eight days straight at sea is a long time. One of us took up knitting.

Then Hawaii. We toured Hawaii Volcanoes National Park by bike on the car roads and filmed a class on top of the crater. Then we had exactly 40 minutes to get back to the ship. In Kona we found the best smoothie of our lives at Bikini Bottoms Coffee.

Then the ending. We wheeled our luggage into the hall a day early, until Wayne, our room attendant, stopped us. It was an 11 night cruise, not 11 days. Five reservations got canceled.

The nest is empty, so we went out and bought an RV. Brinkley, our new travel trailer, followed us onto the road at a blazing 20 miles per hour, and our first turn got live commentary. Then we parked it perfectly on the first try and decided that had to be beginner's luck.

Our first real drive took about two hours. Erin hopped out to scout our first campground in Leadville and came back with good news: a pull-through. We got leveled and went on our inaugural mountain ride. One of us came back from a later ride calling the trail bobsled tracks in dirt. Rindo, our dog, got caught in a thunderstorm on her first solo walk and made it back just in time. That night we watched football by the fire at sunset.

Then we moved on to Rabbit Valley by the Colorado-Utah border. No shore power out there, so we experimented. The result was a solar controller beeping at us at 5 a.m., followed by a 40 degree morning.

It's our very first week with a trailer behind us, nerves and beeping included.

This is the two-minute trailer where Erin finally introduces the guy behind the camera. Matt does the filming and the editing for Five Parks Yoga. As Erin puts it, he does everything except the yoga. Fair enough.

So we started a second channel. Five Parks Life is everything that happens around the yoga classes. That means the journey to get there and where we end up. It also means the things that don't go quite as planned (and there are plenty of those). The idea is simple. We load our bikes with all of our camera gear and go.

We also tell you where we're headed first. Leadville, Colorado, one of the highest towns in the country. Rabbit Valley, out by the Colorado-Utah border, which is one of our favorite landscapes. A repositioning cruise out of Vancouver, Canada. Then a long drive south from Colorado down to Texas, hitting New Mexico on the way.
