Five Parks Life is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
In plain English: when you buy something through one of our gear links (the packing list, the “Pack it” button, or the storefront), Amazon pays us a small commission. It never costs you anything extra. Prices are identical either way.
We only list gear that actually lives in our rig and earns its storage space. Nobody pays to be on our packing list, and a sponsor never buys a good review. When a video or post is sponsored, we say so clearly, right up front.
Some links elsewhere on the site (for example, partner properties) may also be affiliate or referral links; the same promise applies to all of them.
Privacy policy
What we collect. If you join the Crew, we collect your name and email address, plus the country (and U.S. state) you choose to tell us. That’s it, and only because you gave them to us. If you write to us through the contact form, we keep what you send so we can write back. Our website host and analytics collect the standard technical basics (browser type, pages visited, general region) to keep the site working and help us understand what’s useful.
What we do with it. We use your email to send you the Crew Dispatch: new episodes, where we’re headed next, and occasional news like the Menopause Masterclass. We use Mailchimp to send it, which means Mailchimp stores the list on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
What we never do. We never sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone for marketing. It’s just the two of us out here, and we treat your inbox the way we’d want ours treated.
Your choices. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. Want your data deleted entirely? Reply to any Dispatch or use the contact form and we’ll take care of it promptly.
Cookies & embeds. Embedded YouTube videos and the interactive map may set their own cookies per YouTube’s and OpenStreetMap’s policies. Our Amazon links include an affiliate tag (see the disclosure above).
